In this tour, Trekkingtoursapa’s guide will take you to visit 5 different villages of the Hmong, Giay and Red Dao ethnic minorities. The tour will give you the chance to enjoy amazing mountain landscapes as well as to see Sapa’s biggest river and valley. You will also see the famous rice terrace fields and learn more about the culture, customs and traditions of the 3 main different ethnic minorities in Sapa. Our tour guide will also introduce you to Hmong’s unique marriage traditions, rice fields work and house building techniques and much more!

Day 01: Sapa – Cat Cat – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van (15km or around 6.5 hours)

The tour starts at 9 am. Trekkingtoursapa’s guide will meet you at your hotel in Sapa town or in front of Sapa’s main church. After a short introduction, we will take you 2km down to Cat Cat, a very well-known village of the Hmong minority in Sapa. From there, we will reach the hanging bridge of Muong Hoa river and then continue uphill on a small trail into the mountains. You will walk alongside the bamboo forest on a faraway touristy area, which is not known by many people. From here you will get to see the biggest and most beautiful rice terrace fields in Vietnam (Muong Hoa Valley), enjoy the fresh air on top of the Hoang Lien mountain range and take some unique pictures of the landscape. Afterwards, you will head down to Y Linh Ho village and have lunch at a small restaurant run by a traditional Hmong family. After lunch, we will make our way to Ta Van, a village of Giay minority, where we will be welcomed by a Hmong family at their homestay. You will then have time to rest, take a hot shower and wait for your dinner.

 

Day 02: Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Sapa (12km around 5 hours)

Wake in the morning, enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and take a look outside the homestay, you will get to see the fantastic views across the rice terrace fields. After have breakfast, we will continue the trek uphill to the mountains by a small path in bamboo forest, here you will be immersing in spectacular views from mountains. We will then make our way down to waterfall of Giang Ta Chai Village. From here we will walk flat to the Red Dao area, here our tour guide will show you how different between 3 ethnic minorities and learn more their cultures and daily life. After visit Red Dao Home, we will continue the trek back to the other section waterfall, across a hanging bridge and then have lunch at a restaurant of Hmong minority in Giang Ta Chai village. After had lunch, our bus will pick us on the main road back to Sapa town.
